Barbara Yelin was born in Munich where she lives and works today. She studied Illustration at the HAW Hamburg. Her comics have been published in the comic-magazine SPRING, the Berlin-based Newspaper "Tagesspiegel" and many more. Her graphic novel "Irmina" (Reprodukt, 2014) was very well received. Her most recent projects are "Jan Bazuin - Tagebuch eines Zwangsarbeiters" (together with historian Paul-Moritz Rabe, C.H.Beck Verlag, 2022) in cooperation with the Munich Documentation Centre for the History of National Socialism and "Aber ich lebe" / "But I Live" (a graphic novel-project about the story of holocaust survivor Emmie Arbel), which will be published in 2022 at C.H.Beck / University of Toronto Press/New Jewish Press, 2022. In 2016 Barbara Yelin won the Max and Moritz Award as "Best German Comic-Artist".
