These are the 28 by the jury and audience nominated titles for awards in the categories "Best German-language Comic", "Best International Comic in German", "Best Non-Fiction Comic", "Best Comic for Children" and "Audience Award".

Laureates

On the evening of 17 June, the Max and Moritz Prize 2022 will be awarded in various categories. The special prize for an outstanding life's work has already been decided!

The Max und Moritz Audience Award will be presented for the eighth time in 2022 Round 3: „Vote“ (2 May to 16 June 2022)

Jury

The “Max und Moritz“ Award, presented biannually by an independent jury of professionals during the course of the International Comic Salon, has played a decisive role in the artistic and social recognition of comic art for around 40 years.

Albert Uderzo, Jacques Tardi, Alan Moore, Pierre Christin, Lorenzo Mattotti, Ralf König, Claire Brétecher, Jean-Claude Mézières and Anke Feuchtenberger were awarded for their Lifetime Achievement in the last years.
