Meike Schultchen, born in Hamburg, studied graphic design in Braunschweig and graduated as an illustrator in Hamburg. She now lives and works there as a freelance illustrator and lecturer/teacher for art and illustration. For her cover for COZMIC Vol. 02 she was awarded the coveted Kurd-Laßwitz Prize in the category "Best Graphic for SF": 1st place - In COZMIC Vol. 01 to 04 she is represented with her story "Cosmic Labyrinths". In Vol. 05 she presents (together with Falko Kutz) her story "Child of Two Worlds".
