Josephine Mark was born in Naumburg/Saale in 1981. From 2001 to 2005, she studied cultural and media education with a focus on museum education at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences and began designing record covers, posters and flyers for bands and student projects while studying. After 15 years as an employed graphic designer in the cultural sector, Josephine ventured into self-employment in 2018. She currently works as a freelance illustrator, comic artist and graphic designer in Leipzig. She has also been publishing comics, cartoons and illustrations under the label puvo productions since 2004. In her mostly humorous, often thought-provoking stories, she deals with everyday philosophy, society, psychology and topics in the natural sciences. Her characters are mostly animals with a cheeky mouth, have rough edges, heart and soul.
