Nicolas Mahler lives and works as a comic artist and illustrator in Vienna. His comics and cartoons currently appear in newspapers and magazines such as DIE ZEIT, NZZ am Sonntag, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung and Titanic. His extensive work is published internationally by L'Association, La Pastèque, Top Shelf, Edition Moderne, Reprodukt, Suhrkamp, Luftschacht and most recently with the Jelinek adaptation "der fremde!" in the series "Die Unheimlichen" at Carlsen Verlag. Nicolas Mahler's work has received several awards, including the Max und Moritz Award twice and the Prize of the Literature Houses.
