Helmut Kaplan (*1967) Around 25 years ago,Helmut Kaplan established TONTO as a platform for musical fringe positions.In this environment Edda Strobl fitted a branch of comics around 2000, which is now the operating artist group. TONTO sees itself as part of a Europe spread network of groups that have chosen the medium of comics as a field for their artistic discussion. Helmut Kaplan publishes comics in Germany and abroad and at TONTO. He played drums in music groups like Fleischpost, skin and has been working since 90s with various loop structures in/over different media (Records, tape recorders, mixers and computers).
