The Insektenhaus has existed since 2017 and initially published horror comics exclusively. Since 2020, Insektenhaus has increasingly licensed comics from foreign publishers. The expressive works by the Croatian artist Danijel Žeželj ("Van Gogh", "Rotkäppchen") and "20 000 Meilen unter dem Meer" by Eisner Award winner and Hellboy artist Gary Gianni deserve special mention. In addition, the Insektenhaus repeatedly attracts attention with the publication of the imprint Edition Tannenberg, which includes the books by the Italian visionary and Mœbius friend Roberto Baldazzini.
