Volker Hamann, born in 1968, founded the magazine "REDDITION" with two friends while still at school. In 1990 he gave up his job as a bank clerk and helped establish the Germany-wide mail order business Hummelcomic. He is still the editor of "REDDITION" and co-editor of the specialist magazines "Alfonz - Der Comicreporter" and "CAMP - Magazin für Comic, Illustration und Trivialkultur". He also writes about comics for a number of other publications and publishers.
