laus Cornfield (born 1964) is a musician and comic artist and lives with his dark brown cat in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin. Since the mid-eighties he has founded numerous bands, e.g. "Throw That Beat in the Garbagecan", "Katze" or currently the "Orchestre Miniature in the Park". The musical style could be described as a mixture of the pop of the 60s with the punk of the 80s. Rough, but sweet. This also fits his comic work: in the German scene, he became infamous above all for his series "Kranke Comics", in which Disney-like animal characters as amoral sex offenders and drug-addicted creeps go for more than just each other's throats. But Cornfield also has a deeply kind side here as well. Figures like "Fou-fou + Haha" or the series "Luna + Luno" published by Jaja Verlag are something like positive role models that one may blindly follow if one wants to make this world a little nicer.
