Ventil Verlag publishes books beyond the mainstream, whether about music, film, politics, etc., whether fiction, non-fiction or intermediate forms. The focus is on subculture, film and pop history, cultural studies, social theory and young literature. Since the beginning of the publishing house more than 20 years ago, comics have also been published, in recent years increasingly with a view to the interweaving of comics and music.
