Daniela Schreiter's three "Schattenspringer" volumes are among the best-selling graphic novels in Germany. In her comics, the author and illustrator provides affectionate, witty and well-founded information about autism. Her books are not only informative, but also offer an exceptionally entertaining reading experience. This also applies to the volumes "Autistic-Hero-Girl" and "Lisa & Lio - Das Mädchen und der Alien-Fuchs", which were created for a younger audience. The latter made it through to the final round of the Max und Moritz Audience Award this year. So there are more than a few good reasons to dedicate a separate exhibition to Daniela Schreiter and her work.

On display are large-format prints that show exemplary situations in which people on the autism spectrum collide with their surroundings. Daniela Schreiter's comics are composed of stories that she herself or other autistic people have experienced and promote understanding and living together in harmony.
